The Government of Roraima held a solemn graduation and appointment ceremony for the second class of successful candidates from the second public competition of the Civil Police of Roraima (PCRR) on Thursday, the 12th. The event took place at the Setrabes (Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare) auditorium in Boa Vista and was attended by civil and military authorities, government representatives, and the families of the graduates.

A total of 28 new officers were appointed, including 11 forensic assistants, two police clerks, 12 medical examiners, and three odontologists. They recently completed the Professional Training Course (CFP), conducted at the Roraima Education Institute (Ierr), a crucial step for effective entry into the police career. The official swearing-in will occur within the next 30 days, as per the official notice.

Roraima’s governor, Antonio Denarium, also participated in the ceremony, presenting certificates to the graduates. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to public safety, stating: “Roraima is moving forward. The state government continues to invest heavily in security forces. Today, we have 925 civil police officers, including 223 approved through a public competition with 28 being appointed today. This investment involves human resources, infrastructure, equipment, and timely salary payments. It reflects our government’s commitment to public safety and directly benefits the people of Roraima.”

PCRR’s general delegate, Darlinda de Moura Viana, highlighted the perseverance and resilience of the class, which faced numerous obstacles throughout the process. She said: “Today, we celebrate the graduation of 28 new civil police officers. They are a determined group, relentless despite setbacks such as delays, rescheduling, and canceled exams. This class demonstrated resilience enough to endure the long wait for appointment. It’s a significant victory. I believe we have recruited the best police officers we could hope for.”

Graduates expressed their emotions and gratitude for this achievement. Emily Regina Soares Lima, appointed as a forensic assistant, shared her pride: “This is a very special moment in our lives. We often say that victory is not achieved alone. It’s shared with everyone who supported us, especially our families. We are happy, proud, and eager to do our best. We know challenges will come, but we chose this path out of vocation, and we will honor it with positive results for the Civil Police and Roraima.”

Medical examiner Danielle Abdala, also part of the new group, reflected on her sense of mission fulfilled after over three years of waiting: “It’s been three years and five months since the start of the competition. It’s the realization of a dream. We are eager to work, bringing new specialists such as psychiatrists and gynecologists, who were not previously part of the Civil Police, strengthening key areas for forensic work and victim support. We are ready to contribute to the state’s public safety.”

The general delegate further noted that the institution is strengthened with the new personnel: “With the arrival of these professionals, the Civil Police of Roraima enhances its technical and operational capacity, renewing its commitment to justice, investigation, and service to society. Today’s graduation is more than a milestone; it marks the beginning of a dedicated journey toward security and social peace across Roraima.”
